Chhattisgarh Launches 38 Development Projects Worth ₹121.70 Crore to Boost Infrastructure in Sakti 

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated 15 completed projects and performed bhoomipujan for 23 new projects across road, education, healthcare and rural infrastructure sectors.

Sakti: Union Rural Development, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated and performed bhoomipujan for 38 development projects worth more than ₹121.70 crore in Sakti district on September 11.

The programme was held at Jetha village, where the two leaders dedicated 15 completed projects worth approximately ₹42.46 crore and performed bhoomipujan for 23 new projects estimated at ₹79.25 crore. The projects cover key areas including road connectivity, education, healthcare, security, administrative infrastructure and rural development.

23 New Projects Receive Bhoomipujan

Among the major projects for which bhoomipujan was performed is a 22-kilometre road from Devarghata to Sapia Naharpar, passing through Bartunga, Tulsidih, Anda and Charoda. The project has an estimated cost of ₹25.82 crore.

Another major road project involves the widening and renovation of the 12-kilometre Chhuhipali-Semradih road through Katekoni Bade-Karrakhai and Thakurpali. The project is estimated to cost ₹15.30 crore.

Other road projects included:

  • Andi-Kirkar-Jagmahan to Satbahiniya road
  • Nagjhar-Nawapara road
  • Gureradiha Kirari to Kesla main road

These projects are expected to improve connectivity between villages and provide better access to markets, educational institutions, healthcare facilities and other public services.

New Education Infrastructure Planned in Sakti

Several projects focused on strengthening educational infrastructure also received foundation stones.

These include:

  • New building of Government Girls’ College, Sakti
  • Additional building at Bedram Government College, Malkharoda
  • New Livelihood Institute building

The projects are aimed at expanding educational and skill-development infrastructure in the district.

Healthcare and Women-Centric Facilities Included

The development package also includes the construction of sub-health centre buildings in various villages to strengthen healthcare facilities at the local level.

In addition, Mahtari Sadan facilities are being constructed for women. These projects are intended to improve access to essential services and provide dedicated facilities for women in rural areas.

₹42.46 Crore Worth of Completed Projects Dedicated

During the programme, 15 completed projects valued at approximately ₹42.46 crore were dedicated to the public.

Among the major completed works inaugurated was the Kalmi Naharpar-Belhadih road through Chikhli, Chhotekot, Badekot and Singhra in the Malkharoda area. The road was completed at a cost of around ₹14.35 crore.

Another important project was the Devarghata to Oderkera main road, passing through Katharapali, Nimohi, Singhitarai and Benipali. The project includes bridges and culverts and was completed at an approximate cost of ₹11.35 crore.

The Bundeli-Adbhar road was also dedicated to the public.

Roads, Water Supply and Administrative Buildings Inaugurated

The completed projects also include infrastructure under the Jal Jeevan Mission, with solar dual pumps installed to support rural water supply.

Several government and security infrastructure projects were also inaugurated, including:

  • New tehsil office buildings in Chandrapur and Hasoud
  • New police station buildings in Dabhra, Chandrapur and Jaijaipur
  • Adbhar police outpost
  • Sulauni High School building
  • Gopalpur training building
  • Mahtari Sadan at Gobra

The projects are expected to strengthen administrative services, law and order infrastructure and public facilities across the district.

Ministers and Public Representatives Attend Programme

The programme was attended by Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, Skill Development Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb, Member of Parliament Kamlesh Jangde, along with other local representatives and a large number of citizens.

The launch of these projects marks a significant push for infrastructure development in Sakti district, with a focus on improving connectivity and strengthening essential public services across rural areas.
