Chhattisgarh Transfers 31 IPS Officers in Major Reshuffle; Pawan Deo Gets Home Guards, GP Singh Police Academy

Chhattisgarh has transferred 31 IPS officers across DG, ADG, IG, DIG and AIG ranks, with Pawan Deo appointed DG Home Guards and GP Singh given charge of Training and State Police Academy.

Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has transferred 31 IPS officers in a major police reshuffle covering senior positions from Director General (DG) to Assistant Inspector General (AIG) level.

The reshuffle includes important changes in Home Guards, Civil Defence and Fire Services, State Police Academy, Police Housing Corporation, Naxal Operations, Railways, Traffic, Anti-Narcotics Task Force, CID, CCTNS, SCRB, Technical Services, Chhattisgarh Armed Forces, Telecom and Dial-112.

Among the most significant changes, Pawan Deo (1992 batch) has been appointed Director General, Home Guards, Civil Defence and Fire Services, while Gurjinder Pal Singh (1994 batch) has been posted as DG, Training and Director, State Police Academy.

S R P Kalluri (1994 batch) will take over as Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Police Housing Corporation.

Pawan Deo Gets Home Guards, Civil Defence and Fire Services

Pawan Deo (1992 batch), who was serving as CMD, Chhattisgarh Police Housing Corporation, has been shifted and appointed Director General, Home Guards, Civil Defence and Fire Services.

His new assignment places him in charge of key emergency response and civil protection organisations in the state.

GP Singh Gets Training and State Police Academy

Gurjinder Pal Singh (1994 batch) has been appointed DG, Training and Director, State Police Academy.

He was earlier serving as DG, Police Headquarters.

The new assignment gives Singh responsibility for police training and the functioning of the state’s principal police training institution.

SRP Kalluri Appointed MD, Police Housing Corporation

S R P Kalluri (1994 batch), who was serving as ADGP, Police Headquarters, has been appointed Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Police Housing Corporation.

He will take over the position vacated by Pawan Deo following the latest reshuffle.

Major ADGP-Level Changes

Several important changes have also been made at the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) level.

Pradeep Gupta (1995 batch) has been appointed ADGP, Administration and Selection, PHQ, with additional charge of Director of Prosecution.

Vivekanand (1996 batch), who is associated with Naxal Operations, SIB, STF and CAF, has been assigned additional charge of ADGP, Finance, Planning and Management.

Deepanshu Vijay Kabra (1997 batch) has been given additional charge of ADGP, Railways and ADGP, Traffic, alongside his existing responsibilities.

Amit Kumar (1998 batch) has been assigned additional charge as ADGP, Anti-Narcotics Task Force.

Meanwhile, Dr Anand Chhabra (2001 batch) has been appointed ADGP, Technical Services, Dial-112 and Telecommunications.

IG-Level Reshuffle

The reshuffle also covers several Inspector General-level positions.

Om Prakash Paul (2003 batch) has been posted as IG, Law and Order and Security.

Ankit Kumar Garg (2004 batch) has been given charge as IG, Anti-Narcotics Task Force and Special Branch, in addition to his existing responsibilities.

Dhruv Gupta (2005 batch) has been posted as IG, CID, CCTNS and SCRB.

Balajirao Somavar (2007 batch) has been assigned as IG, Ajak and Technical Services.

Prashant Kumar Agarwal (2008 batch) has been posted as IG, Chhattisgarh Armed Forces.

Milna Kurre (2008 batch) has also been shifted in the latest reshuffle.

DIG-Level Postings

A number of officers in the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) rank have also received new assignments.

Parul Mathur (2008 batch) has been posted as DIG, Anti-Narcotics Task Force, PHQ.

Manish Sharma (2009 batch) has been appointed DIG, Administration and Selection.

Abhishek Meena (2010 batch) has been posted as DIG, Chhattisgarh Armed Force, Bastar.

Sadanand Kumar (2010 batch) has been posted as DIG, Chhattisgarh Armed Force, PHQ, Nava Raipur.

Girija Shankar Jaiswal (2010 batch) has been appointed DIG, S4C and Technical Services, Nava Raipur.

M L Kotwani (2010 batch) has been posted as DIG, CID, PHQ.

Prashant Kumar Thakur (2011 batch) has been posted as DIG, Security.

Ajatshatru Bahadur Singh (2011 batch) has been appointed DIG, Home Guard, SDRF and Director, Fire Services.

Vivek Shukla (2012 batch) has been posted as DIG, Security, PHQ.

Rajesh Kukreja (2012 batch) has been appointed DIG, Finance, Planning and Management, PHQ.

Shweta Rajamani (2012 batch) has been posted as DIG, Telecom and Dial-112.

Ramakrishna Sahu (2012 batch) has been posted as DIG, CID, PHQ.

AIG-Level Changes

The reshuffle also includes several Assistant Inspector General (AIG) appointments.

Mohit Garg (2013 batch) has been appointed AIG, Administration and Selection.

Ravi Kumar Kurre (2014 batch) has been posted as AIG, CID, PHQ.

Yaduvali Akshay Kumar (2018 batch) has been appointed AIG, CCTNS, PHQ, with additional charge of Joint Transport Commissioner-Road Safety.

Chirag Jain (2020 batch) has been posted as Commandant, 18th Battalion, Manendragarh-Chirmiri.

Anjali Vishwakarma (2021 batch) has been appointed AIG, Traffic.

The reshuffle covers Police Headquarters, Training, State Police Academy, Home Guards, Civil Defence, Fire Services, Police Housing Corporation, Prosecution, Finance and Planning, Railways, Traffic, Anti-Narcotics Task Force, CID, Special Branch, CCTNS, SCRB, Technical Services, Telecom, Dial-112, Security and Chhattisgarh Armed Forces.
