New Delhi/Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has invited national and international investors, tour operators, and stakeholders from the tourism industry to partner with the state government in transforming Madhya Pradesh into a leading tourism and investment destination.
Addressing the Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism and Hospitality (FAITH) Conclave 2026 in New Delhi on July 16, CM Mohan Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, wildlife, and spiritual significance while calling for greater collaboration to expand the tourism sector.
The special session at the conclave was themed “Madhya Pradesh: The Heart of Incredible India.”
CM Mohan Yadav Highlights MP’s Tourism Potential at FAITH Conclave 2026
CM Mohan Yadav said Madhya Pradesh represents the true spirit of India with its rich history, cultural traditions, ancient temples, forests, and heritage sites.
He said the state’s identity reflects the vision of “MP Ajab Hai, Sabse Gajab Hai”, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s focus on promoting India’s unique tourism potential.
The Chief Minister said Prime Minister Modi’s working approach of “what is promised is delivered” has helped India establish a strong position on the global tourism map.
He added that the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” remains the foundation of government policies, ensuring inclusive development.
Madhya Pradesh Sees Over 13 Crore Tourists in One Year
CM Mohan Yadav said Madhya Pradesh has witnessed a significant rise in tourism activity, with more than 13 crore tourists visiting the state in the last one year.
He said tourism growth has strengthened the state’s economy and created new opportunities for employment and investment.
The Chief Minister invited investors and tourism industry leaders to participate in developing:
- Heritage tourism
- Spiritual tourism
- Wildlife tourism
- Eco-tourism
- Rural tourism
- Sustainable tourism projects
₹30,000 Crore Infrastructure Push for Singhsth-2028
Highlighting preparations for Singhsth-2028 in Ujjain, CM Mohan Yadav said the state government is developing large-scale infrastructure with an estimated investment of around ₹30,000 crore.
The preparations include:
- Development of large-scale infrastructure facilities
- Construction of ghats extending up to 30 kilometres
- Improved connectivity and visitor facilities
- Better arrangements for millions of devotees
The Chief Minister said the aim is to make Singhsth-2028 a grand and divine global event.
Ujjain’s Mahakal Lok Becomes Major Spiritual Tourism Destination
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s strong position in religious tourism, particularly Ujjain’s Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga.
He said Madhya Pradesh is home to two of India’s 12 Jyotirlingas, including the world-famous Mahakaleshwar temple.
The Chief Minister stated that after the development of Mahakal Lok, around 8 crore devotees have visited Ujjain within one year.
He added that the government is committed to developing pilgrimage destinations associated with Lord Ram and Lord Krishna as major spiritual tourism centres.
Government Focuses on World-Class Tourism Infrastructure
CM Mohan Yadav said the state government is working continuously to strengthen tourism infrastructure through:
- Better road and air connectivity
- Investor-friendly policies
- Modern tourism facilities
- Private sector participation
- Sustainable tourism development
He said Madhya Pradesh’s cultural heritage, wildlife resources, and natural landscapes make it one of India’s most promising tourism destinations.
Eco-Tourism Development Gets Special Focus in Madhya Pradesh
The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s focus on eco-tourism and sustainable travel initiatives.
He mentioned the development of Kukru Hill Station in Betul district, known as the “Coffee Valley” of Madhya Pradesh, as an emerging tourism destination.
The initiative aims to promote nature-based tourism while creating local economic opportunities.
Tourism Investment and Global Partnership Discussed at Conclave
During FAITH Conclave 2026, senior officials from Madhya Pradesh Tourism held discussions with national and international tourism operators and industry representatives.
Key topics discussed included:
- Private investment opportunities
- Expansion of air connectivity
- Tourism infrastructure development
- Global promotion of Madhya Pradesh destinations
Tourism Department Secretary and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board Dr. Ilaiyaraaja T. and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Dilip Kumar Yadav participated in discussions with industry representatives.
Madhya Pradesh Tourism Models Attract Industry Attention
At the multi-state tourism platform, states including Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Uttarakhand presented their tourism models and investment opportunities.
Madhya Pradesh’s initiatives in areas such as:
- Wildlife tourism
- Heritage homestays
- Spiritual tourism circuits
- Rural tourism
received appreciation from industry representatives.
The state government aims to position Madhya Pradesh as a globally recognised tourism destination through investment, innovation, and sustainable development.
