The Chief Minister also stressed the need to complete new construction projects on priority and conduct campaigns to address basic infrastructure requirements in schools.

Cleanliness, Drinking Water and Toilets to Get Priority

The Chief Minister directed that essential facilities such as regular cleanliness, drinking water and functional toilets should be ensured in schools through local bodies.

He also suggested seeking support from the industry sector and investors to improve school facilities.

District Collectors will coordinate and supervise these efforts to ensure that infrastructure and basic facilities are properly maintained.

He directed districts to work proactively in this area. He also cited the potential use of information technology tools such as CIPRI software to obtain information related to drinking water sources and water levels, which can help in faster implementation of various works.

Support from CSR, DMF and Public Participation

The state government is also looking at alternative sources of funding to strengthen school infrastructure.

According to the meeting, support is being mobilised through:

  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
  • District Mineral Foundation (DMF)
  • MP and MLA funds
  • Local institutions
  • Public participation
  • Other alternative funding sources
