Indore: Indore witnessed a heartwarming educational moment on Thursday when Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the Sharda Girls Higher Secondary School under the ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ and interacted directly with students on the first day of the new academic session.
The surprise visit created an enthusiastic atmosphere in the school as students engaged with the Chief Minister, shared their experiences, and asked questions about education and future opportunities.

During his visit, CM Yadav toured classrooms and science laboratories, where he interacted with girl students and took detailed feedback about their studies, school facilities, and academic aspirations.
He encouraged students to remain focused on education, stating that learning is the strongest foundation for success and self-reliance in life. Several students also asked questions, to which the Chief Minister responded positively, appreciating their confidence and awareness.

According to him, special attention is being given to student health, infrastructure development, and holistic growth.
Significant Rise in School Enrolment in Madhya Pradesh
The Chief Minister noted a substantial improvement in school enrolment figures across Madhya Pradesh. The government has simplified admission processes for Classes 1, 6, and 9, resulting in a 19.6% increase in enrolment for the academic year 2025–26.
He also mentioned that government schools have recorded a 32.4% growth in admissions, and the state has set a target of 1.45 crore total student enrolments this academic session.
The launch of 369 modern Sandipani Schools has further strengthened the education ecosystem in the state.
Indore Positioned as an Education Hub
CM Yadav emphasized that Indore holds a unique cultural and educational significance, describing it as the land associated with Lord Krishna’s education and Sage Sandipani.
He said the government aims to develop Indore as a model education center in Madhya Pradesh through continuous reforms and investment in educational infrastructure.
