Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai laid the foundation stone of the BJP district office, named “Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Bhavan,” in village Jetha during his one-day visit to Sakti district. The ceremony was conducted with traditional rituals and Vedic chanting.
The proposed modern office will be constructed over an area of nearly 1.5 acres and is expected to strengthen both organizational activities and development coordination in the region.
Modern BJP District Office to Strengthen Organizational Work
Addressing the gathering, CM Vishnu Deo Sai said that modern and well-equipped offices play a crucial role in strengthening any organization.
He stated that such offices serve as:
- Centers for coordination among party workers
- Platforms for communication and meetings
- Hubs for organizational activities and planning
The Chief Minister added that the new district office will provide a better working environment and accelerate organizational efficiency.
“One Tree in Mother’s Name” Campaign Promoted
After the foundation ceremony, CM Sai participated in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign by planting a mango sapling in the office premises.
He emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and said that tree plantation initiatives are essential for sustainable development and ecological balance.
Rain Seen as a Positive Sign for Development
CM Sai noted that rainfall during the foundation ceremony was a positive and auspicious sign.
He said that rain symbolizes:
- Prosperity
- Agricultural growth
- Rural development
- Overall well-being of the district
He added that rainfall plays a vital role in strengthening the rural economy and supporting farmers.
Students Honoured for Academic Excellence
During his visit, CM Vishnu Deo Sai also attended a felicitation ceremony at the Collectorate premises, where meritorious students were awarded certificates and mementos.
He congratulated the students and said that the state government is continuously working to encourage academic excellence.
He added that such students serve as inspiration for others and represent the future of the state.

BJP Chhattisgarh President Kiran Singh Dev said that the new district office will significantly strengthen organizational activities and provide better facilities for party workers.
He described the foundation stone laying as a historic moment and said the building will serve as a central hub for party expansion and grassroots engagement.
