The Indian Ocean Region remains one of the world’s most important maritime corridors.

Enhanced surveillance through MQ-9B Sea Guardian drones is expected to improve monitoring of shipping lanes, maritime security threats and regional developments. This aligns with the broader strategic objectives shared by India and the United States in the Indo-Pacific.
