New Delhi: The VTDS-DEUS technology transfer deal marks a significant step in strengthening India’s defence manufacturing sector. Indian defence company VTDS has signed a strategic technology transfer agreement with Czech Republic-based DEUS Automation to bring advanced small-calibre ammunition manufacturing technology to India. The partnership supports the government’s vision of building indigenous defence capabilities under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative while enhancing long-term defence production.

Indian defence company VTDS has entered into a strategic partnership with DEUS Automation, a Czech Republic-based defence technology company. According to the company, the agreement focuses on transferring advanced technology for small-calibre ammunition manufacturing to India. The collaboration is expected to improve domestic production capabilities and reduce dependence on imported technologies.

DEUS Automation to Provide Advanced Manufacturing Technology

DEUS Automation, which is part of the STV Group of the Czech Republic, will supply advanced manufacturing technology for producing small-calibre ammunition in India. The agreement represents one of the first major technology transfer collaborations between India and the Czech Republic in this specialised defence segment.

Focus on Global Manufacturing Standards

VTDS stated that the manufacturing capabilities introduced through this partnership will follow international quality benchmarks. The project will also incorporate precision engineering standards and modern production systems to improve product quality, efficiency and reliability.
