The increased allocation aims to accelerate infrastructure projects, improve civic facilities, and ensure balanced development across all Delhi constituencies.
Indian Masterminds Stories

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced that the Delhi government has allocated ₹100 crore for every Assembly constituency to accelerate development activities across the national capital.

The Chief Minister made the announcement while inaugurating an Ayushman Arogya Mandir and launching multiple development projects in the Tri Nagar Assembly constituency. She assured that there would be no shortage of funds for infrastructure and public welfare projects and urged elected representatives to continue identifying development works in their respective areas.

₹100 Crore Development Budget for Every Assembly Constituency

Addressing residents during the programme, CM Rekha Gupta highlighted the importance of increased funding for balanced development across Delhi.

She said that earlier, the development fund available to MLAs was around ₹5 crore, but the government has now increased the allocation to ₹100 crore per Assembly constituency.

According to the Chief Minister, the enhanced budget will support the construction and improvement of:

  • Roads
  • Drains
  • Footpaths
  • Local infrastructure facilities
  • Civic amenities across colonies

She assured that financial resources would not become a barrier for development work and encouraged representatives to focus on identifying and implementing projects.

Focus on Development in Previously Neglected Areas

CM Gupta said that the BJP-led Delhi government has prioritised infrastructure development in areas that were neglected for years.

Speaking about the Tri Nagar constituency, she said the area had faced issues related to poor drainage, slum development, and the condition of residential blocks and flats.

She added that residents are now experiencing a government focused on development and improvement of basic facilities.

Delhi Inaugurates 45 New Ayushman Arogya Mandirs

During the programme, Chief Minister Gupta inaugurated an Ayushman Arogya Mandir equipped with modern healthcare facilities, including:

  • Dental clinic
  • Eye care services
  • Digital X-ray facility
  • Free diagnostic testing

She described the facility as a “mini-hospital” designed to provide quality healthcare services close to people’s homes.

The Chief Minister also announced the inauguration of 45 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across Delhi through the programme.

With this expansion, the total number of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in the national capital has increased to 415, including the earlier 370 centres.

Government Claims Improvement in Monsoon Waterlogging Situation

Discussing civic infrastructure improvements, CM Gupta said Delhi witnessed a significant reduction in waterlogging during the current monsoon season compared to previous years.

She highlighted that areas which traditionally faced severe water accumulation, including Minto Bridge and ITO, saw improved conditions due to better preparedness and continuous monitoring by the government.

The Chief Minister said the administration remained focused on improving drainage systems and addressing civic challenges.

Ayushman Arogya Mandirs to Provide Accessible Healthcare

Comparing the new healthcare centres with previous health initiatives, CM Gupta said Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are designed to provide comprehensive medical facilities rather than limited services.

She stated that these centres will help economically weaker sections access quality healthcare services near their homes without facing financial difficulties.

Delhi Government to Introduce Right to Service Act

CM Rekha Gupta also announced that the Delhi Cabinet has approved the proposed Right to Service Act, which will be introduced during the upcoming Monsoon Session of the Delhi Assembly.

The proposed law aims to make government services time-bound and improve accountability in public administration.

According to the Chief Minister:

  • Government services will have fixed timelines
  • Delays in service delivery will invite action
  • Officials responsible for unnecessary delays or harassment may face personal penalties

The move is aimed at increasing transparency and improving government responsiveness toward citizens.

Delhi Government’s Development Roadmap

With increased constituency funding, expansion of healthcare facilities, improved civic infrastructure, and plans for stronger public service delivery, the Delhi government has outlined a broad development agenda.

The initiatives announced by CM Rekha Gupta are aimed at improving everyday facilities for residents and ensuring more efficient delivery of government services across the capital.
