Rising Train Interchange Reflects Improved Operations
The consistent increase in train interchanges reflects improvements in coordination, capacity utilisation and operational integration between DFCCIL and Indian Railways.
Higher interchange volumes indicate smoother movement of freight trains between the Dedicated Freight Corridor and the wider railway network. This operational integration is important for improving the efficiency and reliability of freight transportation across the country.
Higher Interchange Supports Faster Freight Movement
The latest milestone also highlights the growing efficiency of freight movement on the DFC network. As more freight trains are handled and interchanged with Indian Railways, the network can support the movement of goods with greater speed and reliability.
The continued rise in interchange numbers points to strengthening operational capabilities and better coordination across the freight rail network.
