Donald Phillips Wahlang is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the 1993 batch (Assam-Meghalaya cadre). Born on September 4, 1965, he has had a distinguished career spanning over three decades in public administration.
He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Khasi, and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and an MBA in Finance.
Top Bureaucratic Role
Wahlang served as the Chief Secretary of Meghalaya from August 1, 2022, succeeding Rebecca V. Suchiang. He continued in this role until his retirement on September 30, 2025, upon attaining the age of superannuation.
