New Delhi: Dr. Anupam Arora has been appointed as a Non-official (Independent) Director on the Board of POWERGRID Unchahar Transmission Limited, the Investment Manager to POWERGRID Infrastructure Investment Trust (PGInvIT).
His appointment as an Additional Director – Non-official Director (Independent Director) – took effect from May 19, 2025, for a term of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Dr Arora is a seasoned academic and physicist with over 35 years of experience in teaching and research. Holding an M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Physics, with a specialization in Nuclear Physics, Dr Arora began his academic journey at S.D. Post Graduate College, Panipat, Haryana, in 1990. He assumed the role of Principal in 2012, a position he continues to hold.
Over the years, Dr. Arora has served on various university-level and state-level academic bodies, contributing to policy and academic development. Known for his commitment to holistic education, he has led several initiatives in educational innovation and interdisciplinary learning.
His appointment to the Board of POWERGRID Unchahar Transmission Ltd is expected to bring a fresh academic perspective and strategic insight to the company’s governance and oversight.
