New Delhi: Eastern Coalfields Limited has introduced a series of major digital initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, transparency, and stakeholder services. The launches were announced during the company’s General Managers’ Coordination Meeting held at its headquarters in Sanctoria.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman and Managing Director Satish Jha, along with senior officials including Director (Finance) Md. Anzar Alam and Director (HR) Gunjan Kumar Sinha, as well as area general managers and department heads.
Focus on Performance Review and Accountability
The coordination meeting reviewed overall performance across departments, recognised key achievements, and emphasized strengthening accountability within the organisation.
A major highlight of the event was the rollout of three new digital platforms designed to modernise operations and improve service delivery.

New Corporate Website on Cloud Infrastructure
ECL launched its redesigned corporate website, built on AWS cloud infrastructure. The upgraded platform offers:
- Improved navigation and usability
- Faster content updates
- A more dynamic content management system
The new website is aimed at providing a smoother and more user-friendly experience for stakeholders and the public.
DigiPME Portal for Employee Health Management
The company also introduced DigiPME, a digital health portal for coal mine employees. The platform streamlines annual medical check-ups through:
- Online appointment booking
- Digital medical record storage
- Automatic generation of medical certificates
By replacing paper-based systems, DigiPME is expected to improve health monitoring and simplify compliance processes across operations.
E-Anumodan System for Digital Approvals
Another major initiative is the E-Anumodan portal, developed jointly by the System Department and Marketing & Sales Department.
The system allows e-auction Road Sale customers to digitally upload authorization letters, removing the need for physical document submission at area offices. It also includes:
- OTP-based secure access
- Automated email notifications
This initiative aims to improve transparency, speed, and customer convenience.
