Patna: The Election Commission of India has launched ECINET, a one-stop digital platform integrating 40 election-related portals. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar launched ECI 2.0 and ECINET from Patna, bringing multiple voter and election services under a single digital system.
The platform is aimed at making electoral services easier to access while improving coordination, monitoring and transparency across the election process.
One Platform for Election Services
ECINET brings voter-list checks, registration, corrections, BLO contact and candidate information under one platform. Earlier, services such as Voter Helpline, cVIGIL, Saksham and Know Your Candidate operated separately.
The platform also provides Forms 6, 7 and 8, polling-station details and real-time voter turnout information.

11 Crore Downloads Reported
Around 11 crore people have already downloaded the ECINET app, with the Election Commission targeting 30 crore users by the end of 2026.
More than 11 lakh BLOs are registered on the platform, which is available in 22 Indian languages and English. More than 150 crore documents were also digitised during the Special Intensive Revision.
Bihar Played a Role in ECINET’s Rollout
Bihar has a direct connection with the development and testing of ECINET. The platform underwent a trial during the Bihar Assembly elections in 2025, before its wider rollout.
Its launch from Patna also places Bihar at the centre of the Election Commission’s latest digital election-management initiative.
The Commission said ECINET has already supported electoral processes during the 2026 Assembly and by-elections by helping with real-time monitoring, faster reporting and greater transparency.
Single Digital Network
ECINET also brings ERONET, the BLO App, Observer, DEO and CEO systems onto one platform.
The platform was conceptualised in May 2025 and tested during the Bihar Assembly elections. The Election Commission said ECINET will improve real-time monitoring, reporting, transparency and access to voter services.
