Ghaziabad: The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) carried out an enforcement drive against unauthorized constructions at several locations in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, demolishing a warehouse and sealing multiple shops and other structures.
The action was conducted by the authority’s Enforcement Zone-1 team on Tuesday. Officials said the constructions targeted during the drive were being carried out without approval or in violation of prescribed norms.
Warehouse Demolished on Bhatta No. 5 Road
The enforcement team demolished a warehouse being constructed on Bhatta No. 5 Road by Digvijay Tyagi and Shravan Kumar.

According to the authority, the construction was not being carried out in accordance with approved norms. The team reached the site and carried out the demolition.
Further action was also taken against other constructions in the Bhatta No. 5 area.
Several Structures Sealed
As part of the same enforcement drive, GDA sealed several shops and warehouses at different locations.
The structures sealed included:
- Shops constructed by Bobby Tomar, Raj Chaudhary, Mukesh Chaudhary and Dhruv Chaudhary in the Bhatta No. 5 area.
- Constructions by Saurabh Chaudhary and Kapil Chaudhary on Vardan Road.
- A warehouse constructed by Saurabh Chaudhary in Dhargaon village.
Police Deployed During Enforcement Action
The enforcement operation faced opposition from some local residents and construction-related parties.
The GDA continued the action in the presence of police personnel. The authority’s enforcement staff and Enforcement Zone-1 team were present during the operation.
More Demolition, Sealing Actions Planned
GDA officials said enforcement action against unauthorized constructions will continue.
According to the authority, demolition and sealing action will also be carried out at other identified locations during the next month.
