Uttarakhand CM Dhami Approves Nearly ₹4 Crore for High Court Modernisation and Temple Development Works 

Funds sanctioned for paperless Smart VC Boardroom at Uttarakhand High Court and beautification of religious sites across Almora, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag.

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial sanctions of nearly ₹4 crore for modernising judicial infrastructure and developing religious and tourism sites across the state.

The approved projects include the establishment of a state-of-the-art paperless Smart Video Conferencing Boardroom at the Uttarakhand High Court and beautification, construction, and development works at several temples and pilgrimage sites in districts including Almora, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh, and Rudraprayag.

The initiatives aim to promote technology-driven judicial services while improving facilities at important religious and tourism destinations in Uttarakhand.

₹1.20 Crore Approved for Paperless Smart VC Boardroom at Uttarakhand High Court

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved ₹1.20 crore for setting up a modern paperless Smart Video Conferencing (VC) Boardroom at the Uttarakhand High Court.

The facility is expected to enhance the use of digital technology in judicial proceedings and make court operations more efficient and effective.

The initiative will help in:

  • Promoting paperless judicial processes
  • Improving digital connectivity for court proceedings
  • Increasing efficiency in legal operations
  • Supporting technology-based justice delivery

Funds Approved for Development of Gopeshwar Mahadev Temple in Almora

For the ancient Gopeshwar Mahadev Temple located in Someshwar, Almora district, the Chief Minister approved ₹98.25 lakh for beautification works, ghat construction, and development of a security check dam. An amount of ₹58.95 lakh as the first installment has also been approved for the project.

The development work aims to improve facilities for devotees and enhance the overall infrastructure around the historic temple.

₹56.51 Lakh Sanctioned for Durga Temple Beautification in Udham Singh Nagar

The state government has approved ₹56.51 lakh for the beautification of the newly constructed Durga Temple at Bengal Colony, Nanakmatta, Udham Singh Nagar.The first installment of ₹33.90 lakh will be released for the project. The development is expected to improve basic amenities and provide better facilities for visitors and devotees.

₹1.09 Crore Approved for Someshwar Mahadev Temple in Uttarkashi

For the development of Shri Someshwar Mahadev Temple premises at Jakhol/Fitadi in the Purola assembly constituency of Uttarkashi district, the Chief Minister approved the release of ₹1.09 crore.

The amount has been sanctioned against the remaining project cost of ₹1.85 crore.

The project includes:

  • Temple premises levelling
  • Beautification work
  • Improvement of visitor facilities

The initiative is aimed at strengthening religious tourism infrastructure in the region.

Development Work Approved for Batkeshwar Temple in Pithoragarh

The government has approved ₹63.39 lakh for the beautification and construction works at Batkeshwar Temple and pilgrimage site located in Kharkdesh Patti area of Didihat assembly constituency, Pithoragarh. The development work will help improve the pilgrimage experience and promote religious tourism in the region.

₹54.81 Lakh Sanctioned for Madmaheshwar Dham Development in Rudraprayag

The Chief Minister has also approved ₹54.81 lakh for the development of Second Kedarnath Shri Madmaheshwar Dham in the Kedarnath assembly constituency of Rudraprayag district. The first installment of ₹32.88 lakh has been sanctioned for the project.

The initiative is part of efforts to improve infrastructure at important pilgrimage destinations in Uttarakhand.

Focus on Judicial Technology and Religious Tourism Development

The latest financial approvals reflect the Uttarakhand government’s focus on two major areas — modernising judicial infrastructure and strengthening religious tourism facilities.

The paperless Smart VC Boardroom at the High Court will support technology-based judicial services, while temple development projects are expected to improve visitor facilities and boost tourism activities across different regions of the state. These initiatives are also aligned with the government’s efforts to preserve cultural heritage while creating better infrastructure for citizens and pilgrims.
