Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has granted in-principle approval to nearly 80% of the new schemes announced in the state budget, aiming to accelerate implementation and ensure timely benefits for citizens across the state.

The decision was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar, where progress on budget execution and pending proposals was reviewed.

Cabinet Meeting Focuses on Fast-Track Implementation

According to state government spokesperson and minister Jitu Vaghani, the Chief Minister has directed all departments to speed up execution of approved schemes.

Key directions include:

  • Fast-track implementation of newly announced budget schemes
  • Clear pending proposals delayed due to election code of conduct
  • Ensure timely administrative approvals for all welfare initiatives

The government emphasized that citizens should start receiving benefits from newly announced schemes without unnecessary delays.

  • Continuous monitoring of scholarship distribution
  • Smooth rollout of benefits after schools and colleges reopen

The government reiterated its commitment to strengthening education support systems across Gujarat.

Government Push for Development and Reforms

The Gujarat administration’s focus on quick approvals and execution comes as part of a broader strategy to ensure timely delivery of development programs.

Key priorities include:

  • Infrastructure expansion
  • Legal and administrative reforms
  • Investment-friendly policy execution
  • Efficient rollout of budget announcements

Officials stated that departments have been instructed to streamline processes and improve execution speed.
