MECON Signs MoA with MOIL to Support Vision 2030 for Boosting Manganese Production and Mining Expansion

MECON Limited and MOIL Limited partner to strengthen India’s manganese output, with technical consultancy and project support aimed at enhancing capacity, reducing imports, and advancing Atmanirbhar Bharat goals.

Nagpur/Bhopal: MECON Limited has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with MOIL Limited to support the implementation of MOIL’s Vision 2030, aimed at strengthening India’s manganese ore production and mining capabilities.

The agreement was signed on May 15, 2026, at the MOIL office in the presence of senior officials from both public sector enterprises.

Strategic Partnership for Vision 2030

The MoA aligns with MOIL’s long-term roadmap, Vision 2030, which focuses on:

  • Expanding manganese ore production capacity
  • Diversifying into new mineral exploration projects
  • Adopting advanced mining and extraction technologies
  • Strengthening India’s self-reliance in critical minerals

Under this partnership, MECON will provide technical consultancy, engineering services, and project management support to help MOIL achieve its strategic targets.

Boost to Domestic Mining and Atmanirbhar Bharat

The collaboration between MECON Limited and MOIL Limited is expected to:

  • Enhance domestic manganese production
  • Reduce import dependency
  • Improve efficiency in mining operations
  • Generate employment opportunities in the sector

The partnership also supports the government’s broader vision of self-reliance under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
