Gandhinagar: In his ongoing effort to ensure transparency, efficiency, and citizen-friendly governance, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel made a surprise inspection at the office of the Executive Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department, Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board (GWSSB), located in Sahayog Sankul, Gandhinagar.
Unannounced Inspections to Strengthen Government Accountability
The Chief Minister has recently launched a series of unannounced visits to district and state government offices to closely monitor departmental performance and the handling of public grievances. These surprise visits aim to promote a culture of responsiveness and accountability among government officials.

Focus on Water Supply and Sanitation Services
During the visit, Mr. Bhupendra Patel reviewed the operations of the District Water and Sanitation Unit (DWSU) managed by WASMO, located within the same complex. He inquired in detail about the status and resolution of online complaints received through the government helpline related to water supply and sanitation issues. Additionally, he assessed the functioning of rural water committees and provided directions to enhance service delivery.

The surprise visit was met with appreciation by the officials and staff, who welcomed the Chief Minister’s hands-on approach and emphasis on citizen-centric governance. Mr. Patel was accompanied by Secretary Dr. Vikrant Pandey and Officer on Special Duty Mr. Dheeraj Parekh during the inspection.
