2005 batch senior IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre, Mr. Ritesh Chauhan, got extension of his service as the CEO of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) and Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.
The central government has granted him a one-year extension for his current post.
According to a order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on 30 September, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of Mr. Chauhan’s deputation tenure. This extension is effective from 22 Sep, 2023, and will continue until further orders are issued, or the tenure concludes, whichever happens earlier.
