New Delhi: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) marked National Fire Service Day (NFSD) 2026 at its Refineries Headquarters on April 15. The event, led by Arvind Kumar, Director (Refineries), was held under the theme “Safe School, Safe Hospital & Fire Safety Aware Society – Together for Fire Prevention.”
Employees participated in the Fire Safety Pledge, and a theme poster was unveiled to reinforce fire prevention awareness across the organisation.
Launch of Process Safety E-Learning Module
As part of the observance, Mr. Kumar also launched an e-learning module on Process Safety Management (PSM). The module is designed to enhance understanding of process safety practices and accident prevention measures across Indian Oil’s operations.
This initiative reflects IOCL’s commitment to strengthening safety standards and building a culture of risk awareness among its workforce.
Focus on Digital Safety and Risk Monitoring
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Kumar highlighted the Refineries Division’s growing emphasis on:
- Process Safety Management for safer operational practices
- Deployment of digital tools for proactive risk monitoring
- Early warning systems to prevent accidents and mitigate hazards
These measures aim to ensure higher safety standards, accident prevention, and proactive risk management across all refinery operations.
