IPS Anupama Nilekar Chandra’s Deputation Tenure as ADG, SSB Extended for One Year

The extension was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) following a proposal from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Anupama Nilekar Chandra, an IPS officer of the 1994 batch from the Bihar cadre, has had her deputation tenure as Additional Director General (ADG) of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) extended for an additional year.

The extension was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) following a proposal from the Ministry of Home Affairs. According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday, Ms. Chandra’s deputation will now continue beyond its original end date of February 23, 2025, for another year.

Ms. Chandra’s tenure extension reflects her significant contributions to the SSB, an organization responsible for safeguarding India’s borders with Nepal and Bhutan.
