Chief Minister Nitish Kumar led Bihar Government issued an order of promotion of many IPS officers on Friday. As per the notification SSP Upendra Sharma has been promoted to the rank of DGP. Apart from Upendra Sharma, Sunil kumar, Satyaveer Singh, Vikas Burman, Nitasha Gudiya, Kim, Manoj Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Vikas Kumar, Dilip Kumar Mishra, Ashwini Kumar, Amjaz Ali, Arvind Thakur are SP rank officers who also have been promoted to the rank of DIG.
Apart from this many DIG rank IPS Officers have also been promoted to the rank of Inspector General (IG). Officers who got promotion are Vinayak Kumar, Prantosh Kumar Das, Pankaj Sinha, Lalan Mohan Prasad and Jitendra Mishra. Amarendra Kumar Ambedkar who was serving in the capacity of Additional Director General Of Police has also been promoted to the rank of Director General of Police. IPS Officer Vivekanand has also been promoted from junior administrative category to senior category.
