In a bureaucratic reshuffle by the Chhattisgarh government, several IPS officers have been transferred, including 25 Superintendents of Police (SPs), according to an order issued by the state Home Department.
The names of the officers transferred and their new postings are:
- IPS officer Mr. Amresh Mishra of the 2005 batch has been appointed as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Raipur range. He recently returned from the Central Deputation.
- IPS officer Mr. Sheikh Arif Hussain of the 2005 batch has been appointed as Inspector General of Police (IGP) in the North region of the Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF), Surguja. He was earlier posted as the IGP of the other districts of the range except Raipur.
- IGP Mr. Anand Chhabra (2001 batch), IGP, Mr. Ajay Kumar Yadav (2004 batch) of Bilaspur Range, IGP, Ms. BN Meena of Durg Range have been appointed as IGPs at the Police Headquarters [PHQ], Nava Raipur.
- IPS officer Mr. Dipanshu Kabra of the 1997 batch has been appointed as the additional director general of police at the PHQ, Nava Raipur. He was earlier posted as transport commissioner.
- IPS officer MR. Santosh Singh of the 2011 batch has been appointed as Superintendent of Police [SP] of Raipur. He was earlier posted as SP of Bilaspur district.
- Superintendent of Police Mr. Prashant Agrawal of the 2008 batch has been appointed as the deputy inspector general of police (CAF) Bastar region.
- Commandant of 9th battalion of the CAF Mr. Ajatshatru Bahadur Singh has been appointed as the SP of Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) Raipur.
Besides these officers, the others who have been shifted include SPs of Bilaspur, Raigarh, Durg, Sakti, Baloda Bazar, Jashpur, Surajpur, Dhamtari, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, Bastar, Janjgir-Champa, Korba, Kanker, Mungeli, Bemetara, Manendragarh-Chirmir-Bharatpur, Korea, Surguja, Balod, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, Narayanpur, Mahasamund and Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi districts.
