CRPF Srinagar Bids Farewell to Its First Woman IPS Officer

CRPF Srinagar congratulated and bid farewell to its first woman IPS officer, Charu Sinha, for serving as IG in the Central Kashmir.

Charu Sinha, the first woman IPS officer of CRPF, Srinagar Sector, completed her successful two and half year stint on Monday. CRPF team bid farewell to the officer and congratulated her successful tenure as Inspector General (IG) in the Central Kashmir.

A press release said that Charu Sinha has been instrumental in bringing a sense of harmony to the local community and contributed immensely towards security and peace in the region. During her tenure, she directed CRPF operations with utmost sensitivity towards local sensibilities. Citizen friendly attitude of CRPF remained central to her tenure in Central Kashmir.

“During her tenure, Sinha demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and worked tirelessly to improve security scenario in the region. Her efforts in fostering strong relationships with the local community have helped build trust and cooperation between CRPF and the local population,” the press note added.

In a message to the CRPF and the people of Kashmir, Ms. Charu said, “ThankYou for hosting me with so much of warmth. I wish peace n prosperity for this heaven on earth. Kashmir will always be my home & all Kashmiris my family”

IPS officer Charu Sinha is a 1996 batch IPS officer of Telangana cadre.
