1997 batch IPS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, D Shrinivas Verma has been appointed as the Joint Director of CBI. He was serving as ADG, Gwalior Zone in MP.
Often called the ‘Singham’ of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Verma will be on this post for 5 years as per a central government’s order.
He will take charge soon. The order in this regard was issued on Monday.
Mr. Verma had applied for deputation to the Centre while he was posted in Gwalior. The Ministry of Personnel of the Central Government has accepted his application and appointed him to the post of Joint Director in CBI.
He was transferred about one and a half years ago and posted as ADG of Gwalior Zone.
