The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) gave a nod to the proposal from the Office of Secretary (Security) of the Cabinet Secretariat and appointed Mr. Love Kumar (2004 batch UP cadre IPS officer) as the Inspector General (IG) in Special Protection Group (SPG), and notified the same through a circular from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). Officer Kumar, who was posted as DIG in SPG, shall hold his new office for a tenure of two years or until further order, whichever is earlier.
