Punjab: 21 IPS, Including 2 Commissioners, Transferred; Praveen Sinha Appointed ADGP NRI

In a major bureaucratic reshuffle in Punjab, the Bhagwant Mann led state government has transferred and posted 31 police officers, including 21 IPS officers.

This transfer order also has the names of the police commissioners of Amritsar, Jalandhar and Ludhiana and the SSPs of seven districts – Moga, Bathinda, Rupgar, Sangrur, Hoshiarpur, Pathankot, Malerkotla.

1994 batch senior IPS officer B. Chandrashekhar has been appointed ADGP, Modernization Punjab, Chandigarh. He was waiting for posting.

Mr. Praveen Kumar Sinha, an IPS officer of 1994 batch, has been appointed ADGP NRI, Punjab, SAS Nagar. He is currently serving as ADGP Cyber Crime, Punjab, SAS Nagar, and now, in addition, ADGP NRI, Punjab, SAS Nagar.

1994 batch IPS officer Neeraja Voruvuru has been appointed as ADGP Cyber Crime Punjab SAS Nagar. He was awaiting posting after returning from leave.

Amritsar Police Commissioner and 1997 batch IPS officer Naunihal Singh has been asked to report to DGP Punjab. Orders for their posting will be issued later.
