In a significant move, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the transfer and posting of two senior Punjab Police officers from their current posts to non-election duties.
Mr. Swapan Sharma, IPS (RR: 2009), currently serving as the Police Commissioner of Jalandhar, and Mr. Kuldeep Chahal, IPS (RR: 2009), currently serving as the Police Commissioner of Ludhiana, have been transferred from their present posts.
