New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) conducted its 24th Stakeholders’ Interaction Meet through virtual conferencing, bringing together borrowers and other stakeholders from across India’s renewable energy sector.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Chairman & Managing Director and Director (Finance), IREDA, who emphasised the importance of asset quality and sound governance practices for the company’s sustainable and long-term growth.
IREDA CMD Emphasises Asset Quality and Governance
Addressing the participants, Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty highlighted asset quality and good governance as key pillars of IREDA’s growth.
He urged IREDA’s business partners to maintain focus on:
- Responsible project execution
- Financial discipline
- Qualitative governance practices
- Sustainable project development
The CMD stressed that maintaining financial discipline and strong governance would remain important for strengthening IREDA’s long-term growth and its engagement with business partners.

Bharat RE Summit and Expo 2026 Highlighted
During the Stakeholders’ Meet, Dr. Mohanty also highlighted the upcoming Bharat RE Summit and Expo 2026, scheduled to be held from November 2 to 5, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
He described the event as an important platform for stakeholders across the renewable energy ecosystem to come together, collaborate and exchange ideas.
The Summit is expected to provide an opportunity for IREDA’s borrowers and other stakeholders to engage with the wider renewable energy sector and contribute to India’s ongoing green energy transition and the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
IREDA Reviews Financial Performance and Fundraising Initiatives
The 24th Stakeholders’ Interaction Meet also featured presentations covering several important areas of IREDA’s operations.
These included:
- IREDA’s financial performance
- Recent fundraising initiatives
- Action Taken Report arising from the previous Stakeholders’ Interaction Meet
The presentations provided stakeholders with updates on the company’s recent activities and the progress made on suggestions received during earlier interactions.
IREDA Implements Changes Based on Stakeholder Feedback
During the meeting, it was informed that several modifications to IREDA’s financing norms have already been implemented based on suggestions and feedback received from borrowers during previous stakeholder interactions.
The development reflects IREDA’s efforts to incorporate stakeholder feedback into its processes and strengthen its financing framework.
