Ranchi: A major meeting focused on strengthening trade, investment, and industrial cooperation between Jharkhand and Karnataka was held at Chamber Bhawan in Ranchi on Friday. Representatives of the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries and the Bellary District Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in the joint discussion on industrial growth, tourism, investment, and business collaboration opportunities.
During the meeting, the Jharkhand government’s Industry Department presented the state’s economic development vision and highlighted investment opportunities available across multiple sectors.
Jharkhand Emerging as an Industrial Powerhouse
Industry Secretary Arva Rajkamal said that Jharkhand is rich in natural resources and industrial potential, making it one of India’s important industrial hubs.
He stated that the vision of Chief Minister Hemant Soren is to develop a complete industrial value chain ranging from mining operations to high-end industrial solutions.
The secretary also emphasized the government’s efforts to promote women entrepreneurship and strengthen sectors such as agriculture and food processing to boost economic growth and employment generation.
Huge Investment Opportunities in Tourism, Textiles and Mining
Officials informed delegates that Jharkhand offers immense investment opportunities in sectors including:
- Eco-tourism
- Textiles and ready-made garments
- Critical minerals
- Food processing
- Super foods
- Mining and industrial manufacturing
The Industry Department highlighted that Bellary district in Karnataka is a leading hub for mining, information technology, and manufacturing industries. Cooperation between the two states could open new business opportunities and strengthen industrial partnerships.
Jharkhand Government Assures Full Support to Investors
Industry Director Vishal Sagar invited business representatives to invest in Jharkhand and assured them of full government support for industrial development and employment generation.
He stated that the state government is committed to creating a business-friendly environment and helping investors at every stage of project development.
He also mentioned that Jharkhand recently participated for the first time in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, where the state showcased its industrial and investment potential before global investors under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Focus on Jharkhand’s Upcoming Industrial Policy
President of the Jharkhand Chamber, Aditya Malhotra, said the state is entering a new phase of rapid industrial growth.
He highlighted that Jharkhand’s textile policy is highly attractive for investors and added that a new industrial policy is expected soon, which could create major opportunities for businesses and industries.
He further stated that Jharkhand is self-reliant in electricity production and has a strong pool of skilled human resources to support industrial expansion.
Karnataka Invites Jharkhand Entrepreneurs for Investment
President of the Bellary District Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Avvaru Manjunath, invited entrepreneurs from Jharkhand to explore investment opportunities in Karnataka.
He also invited industry representatives to participate in the upcoming MSME Conclave in Bengaluru.
During the meeting, business leaders and entrepreneurs from both states introduced their respective businesses and discussed possibilities for future industrial collaboration and partnerships.
Industrial Cooperation Expected to Open New Growth Opportunities
Representatives present at the meeting agreed that such dialogues between Jharkhand and Karnataka would strengthen business relations and create new economic opportunities.
