Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has released ₹10,263 crore for the Chief Minister Maaniya Samman Scheme and the Chief Minister Sarvajan Pension Scheme for the financial year 2026-27, covering all 24 districts of the state. The fund allocation aims to ensure timely support for eligible women and pension beneficiaries, strengthening social welfare across Jharkhand.
Total Allocation for FY 2026-27
According to the Department of Women, Child Development & Social Security, the total funds released are:
- Maaniya Samman Scheme: ₹8,071.95 crore
- Sarvajan Pension Scheme: ₹2,191.68 crore
The funds have been allocated up to December 2026, ensuring smooth disbursement during the first half of the financial year.

District-Wise Fund Distribution
The distribution of funds among districts shows Giridih receiving the highest allocation:
- Maaniya Samman Scheme: Giridih – ₹691.77 crore; Ranchi – ₹600 crore
- Sarvajan Pension Scheme: Giridih – ₹173.33 crore; Ranchi – ₹155.20 crore; East Singhbhum – ₹148.24 crore; Palamu – ₹142.16 crore; Bokaro – ₹125 crore; Khunti – ₹28.16 crore (lowest allocation)
This strategic distribution aims to reach the maximum number of eligible beneficiaries while addressing district-level needs.
Allocation Across Key Sub-Plans
The funds have been divided among three major heads for targeted social welfare programs:
- Maaniya Samman Scheme:
- Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP): ₹3,278.83 crore
- Other Sub-Plan (OSP): ₹3,717.80 crore
- Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan (SCSP): ₹1,075.32 crore
- Sarvajan Pension Scheme:
- Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP): ₹994.86 crore
- Other Sub-Plan (OSP): ₹980.29 crore
- Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan (SCSP): ₹216.53 crore
District Coverage
- TSP Districts (15): Ranchi, Khunti, Gumla, Simdega, Lohardaga, Latehar, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Saraikela, Dumka, Jamtara, Sahibganj, Pakur, Godda, Garhwa
- OSP Districts (11): Godda, Garhwa, Deoghar, Hazaribagh, Giridih, Koderma, Chatra, Palamu, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Ramgarh
- SCSP: Covers all 24 districts of Jharkhand
Focus on Timely Implementation
Secretary of the Department of Women, Child Development & Social Security, Uma Shankar Singh, has instructed all DDOs and social security officers to ensure:
- Funds are credited to beneficiaries’ accounts promptly from the start of the financial year
- No technical or budgetary delays affect disbursement
- Transparent utilization so that benefits reach the intended recipients
The government has emphasized strict monitoring to ensure that both the Maaniya Samman and Sarvajan Pension Schemes effectively empower women and senior citizens across the state.
With the release of over ₹10,000 crore for the Maaniya Samman and Sarvajan Pension Schemes, Jharkhand has strengthened its commitment to social security, women’s welfare, and rural financial inclusion.
