Amidst a recent development, the government of Karnataka appointed Dr. Akash S., a 2018-batch IAS officer, to take stock of the controversial Mangaluru school incident. Dr. Akash has been mandated to probe into the dispute where a teacher had purportedly made controversial remarks against a religion.
Dr. Akash is the incumbent Additional Commissioner of the education department in Kalaburgi.
