Imphal: The Manipur government has reshuffled nine IAS officers, assigning new responsibilities across key departments including Finance, Home, Tourism, Public Health Engineering, Information Technology and Relief & Disaster Management. The transfers and postings have taken immediate effect and will remain in force until further orders.
The orders, issued by the Chief Secretary on Tuesday, stated that the changes have been made in the public interest.
Mohan Lal Meena Gets Additional PWD Charge
Mohan Lal Meena, Secretary of the Commission of Inquiry into the Manipur Violence and Manipur Lok Ayukta, has been assigned the additional charge of Commissioner, Public Works Department (PWD).
N Ashok Kumar Gets Finance, Home and CM Commissioner Charge
N Ashok Kumar, who was serving as Commissioner-cum-Secretary for Home, Relief and Disaster Management and Works, along with Special Secretary for Vigilance and Anti-Corruption and Resident Commissioner at Manipur Bhawan, New Delhi, has been posted as Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Finance and Home.
He will continue to hold the charge of Resident Commissioner, Manipur Bhawan, and has also been given the responsibility of Commissioner to the Chief Minister.
Hungyo Worshang Posted as PHE Secretary
Hungyo Worshang, Secretary for Tourism and Commissioner (Excise), has been transferred as Secretary, Public Health Engineering (PHE).
He will, however, continue to hold the additional responsibility of Commissioner, Excise.
Neeta Arambam Gets IPR and Medical Education
Neeta Arambam, Secretary of the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC), has been posted as Secretary, Information and Public Relations (IPR).
She has also been assigned the responsibility of Director, Medical Education.
W Malemnganba Chenglei Gets Water Resources
W Malemnganba Chenglei, who was serving as Secretary for Cooperation and Special Secretary for Finance, has been posted as Secretary, Water Resources (WR).
He will continue to hold the charge of Special Secretary, Finance.
Somorjit Salam Gets IT and Relief & Disaster Management
Somorjit Salam, Secretary for Water Resources and Information Technology (WR/IT) and Director, Medical Education, has been posted as Secretary, Information Technology and Relief and Disaster Management.
Rangitabali Waikhom Gets Tourism and Cooperation
Rangitabali Waikhom, Secretary of the Manipur Staff Selection Commission and Special Secretary for Education (School), has been posted as Secretary, Tourism and Cooperation.
L Bikram Retains DP Charge
L Bikram, who was serving as Director, Tourism and Special Secretary (DP), has been posted as Special Secretary (DP).
Khumanthem Diana Gets Additional Tourism Charge
Khumanthem Diana, Director, Transport and Additional Secretary, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, will continue as Director, Transport.
She has also been given the additional charge of Director, Tourism.
Manipur IAS Reshuffle: Key Changes
The latest reshuffle brings changes to several important administrative portfolios. N Ashok Kumar takes charge of Finance and Home while also becoming Commissioner to the Chief Minister, while Mohan Lal Meena gets additional responsibility for PWD.
The reshuffle also strengthens administrative oversight of Tourism, PHE, Water Resources, Information Technology, Medical Education and Relief & Disaster Management, with several officers receiving new or additional responsibilities.
