Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will transfer the 40th monthly instalment of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana from Agar Malwa on September 13, 2026. Under the September instalment, financial assistance of ₹1,835 crore will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of 1,25,10,150 eligible women across the state.
With the September instalment, the total amount transferred to women under the scheme since its launch will rise to ₹65,395.99 crore.
₹1,835 Crore to Reach More Than 1.25 Crore Women
The September instalment will provide monthly financial assistance to more than 1.25 crore eligible women.
The key figures are:
- Eligible beneficiaries: 1,25,10,150 women
- September 2026 instalment: ₹1,835.09 crore
- Total transfers since launch: ₹65,395.99 crore
- September instalment: 40th regular monthly payment
The assistance is being transferred directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts as part of the state government’s initiative to provide regular financial support to eligible women.

Monthly Assistance Increased to ₹1,500
The Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana was launched in June 2023, when eligible women received ₹1,000 per month.
The monthly assistance was subsequently increased:
- June 2023: ₹1,000 per month
- October 2023: Increased to ₹1,250 per month
- November 2025: Increased to ₹1,500 per month
Eligible women currently receive ₹1,500 per month under the scheme.
The scheme also provides for eligible beneficiaries who receive ₹900 per month under the social security pension scheme. In such cases, the difference amount is provided as per the applicable provisions.
40th Instalment to Be Transferred in September
From June 2023 to August 2026, the state government has already transferred 39 regular monthly instalments under the Ladli Behna Yojana.
The September 2026 payment will mark the 40th regular instalment.
In addition to the regular monthly assistance, beneficiaries have also received ₹250 in special financial assistance on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan in August 2023, August 2024, August 2025 and August 2026.
Over ₹65,000 Crore Transferred Under Ladli Behna Yojana
The scheme has resulted in substantial financial transfers to women across Madhya Pradesh.
Between June 2023 and August 2026, a total of ₹63,560.90 crore had already been transferred to beneficiaries through the regular instalments.
With the September 2026 instalment, the cumulative amount transferred since the launch of the scheme will reach ₹65,395.99 crore.
For the financial year 2026-27, expenditure under the scheme is estimated at ₹11,300 crore up to September 2026.
The Madhya Pradesh government has made a budget provision of ₹23,882.81 crore for the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana for FY 2026-27.
CM Mohan Yadav to Launch Development Works in Agar Malwa
During his visit to Agar Malwa, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will also undertake several development works.
He will perform the bhoomi pujan (foundation laying) of 33 development works worth more than ₹225 crore.
In addition, the Chief Minister will inaugurate 17 completed development works worth more than ₹28 crore.
The development projects are aimed at strengthening infrastructure and supporting development in Agar Malwa alongside the financial assistance being provided to women under the Ladli Behna scheme.
