Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav planted a sapling at the campus of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) in Singrauli, underlining the state government’s commitment to environmental conservation alongside rapid regional development.
The plantation drive was held as part of the government’s broader push toward sustainable growth and ecological preservation.
CM Mohan Yadav Praises Singrauli’s Natural and Intellectual Strength
Speaking at the event, CM Mohan Yadav described Singrauli as a district rich in both natural resources and academic talent.
He highlighted the strong educational performance of students from the district and said:
“Our district is naturally and intellectually rich. Five out of every top ten performers come from this district.”
The Chief Minister said the state government is working on a comprehensive master plan to accelerate development in Singrauli.

Master Plan for Singrauli Development Underway
CM Yadav stated that multiple infrastructure and economic development projects are being planned for the district.
According to the Chief Minister:
- A detailed development master plan is under preparation
- Several state government projects are in progress
- Upcoming initiatives are expected to boost regional growth and employment opportunities
He expressed confidence that Singrauli could emerge as one of Madhya Pradesh’s leading districts in the coming years.
Focus on Sustainable Growth and Infrastructure
The Chief Minister said the Madhya Pradesh government is focusing on balancing industrial development with environmental sustainability.
He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state is witnessing rapid progress in infrastructure, energy, and ecological initiatives.
“We hope that when Madhya Pradesh advances under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Singrauli will be number one,” CM Yadav said.
CM Highlights Biodiversity Conservation Efforts
Separately, while addressing the IBCA pre-summit event on the International Day for Biological Diversity, CM Mohan Yadav praised India’s ongoing biodiversity conservation initiatives.
He said the country has achieved significant success in environmental and wildlife projects under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
Cheetah Project and Biodiversity Initiatives Receive Praise
CM Yadav also welcomed Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav during the biodiversity event.
He highlighted the success of the cheetah reintroduction project launched in 2022 and called it an important research and conservation milestone for Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Minister said the state continues to implement several biodiversity-focused projects aimed at ecological preservation and wildlife protection.
