Nagpur: MOIL Limited, a Government of India enterprise, has announced the appointment of Ms. Sonali Sanjit Nagvenkar as an Independent Director on the company’s Board, effective from July 16, 2026.
The appointment has been made for a period of three years as a Non-Official Director (NoD) on the Board of MOIL.
Her appointment became effective after completion of mandatory requirements, including allotment of Director Identification Number (DIN: 11827764) and registration in the Independent Director’s Data Bank maintained by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
Appointment Made Under Government of India Order
The appointment follows the Government of India order No. 1/1/2026-BLA dated July 14, 2026, through which Ms. Sonali Sanjit Nagvenkar was initially appointed as a Non-Official Director on the Board of MOIL.
Following completion of necessary legal and regulatory procedures, her status as an Independent Director has now been confirmed.
The appointment remains subject to applicable approvals and compliance requirements under relevant laws and regulations.

MOIL Confirms Regulatory Compliance
MOIL has confirmed that Ms. Sonali Sanjit Nagvenkar meets all required eligibility criteria for the position of Independent Director.
The company stated that:
- She is not related to any Director or Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of MOIL.
- She has not been debarred or disqualified from holding the position of Director by SEBI or any other regulatory authority.
These confirmations ensure compliance with corporate governance norms applicable to listed public sector enterprises.
Sonali Nagvenkar Brings Commerce, Management and Legal Expertise
Ms. Sonali Sanjit Nagvenkar brings a diverse educational and professional background to the MOIL Board.
Her academic qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)
Apart from her academic expertise, she has experience in the retail jewellery business, where she has gained practical knowledge of entrepreneurship, business operations, management, and customer-oriented strategies.
Her combination of commerce, management, legal knowledge, and business experience is expected to contribute to MOIL’s governance and strategic decision-making.

The induction of Ms. Sonali Sanjit Nagvenkar as an Independent Director strengthens MOIL’s Board with additional expertise in business management and corporate affairs.
