Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced an additional Rs. 50 crore for developmental initiatives under Sehore Municipality. Recalling Sehore’s historic contribution to the 1857 Freedom Struggle, Dr. Yadav paid homage to the 356 revolutionaries who laid down their lives, equating their sacrifice with that of martyrs at Jallianwala Bagh. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to empowering farmers by ensuring irrigation across the district and promised to enhance the benefits of welfare schemes for women to Rs. 3,000.

Dr. Yadav highlighted that Madhya Pradesh is fast emerging among the top-performing states in the country, with a strong focus on health infrastructure, electricity, road connectivity, and education. He noted that 30 medical colleges are operational in the state, with the number expected to increase to 50 in the next two years. Emphasizing the state’s developmental trajectory, he stated, “With the rising stature of Bhopal as a metropolitan hub, Sehore too will witness rapid urban and rural growth.”

He handed over a letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Dr. Yadav confirming this approval. He also noted that a labour budget of Rs. 6,263 crore has been sanctioned under MNREGA for Madhya Pradesh.

Reiterating the government’s resolve for agricultural transformation, Mr. Chouhan urged the promotion of scientific farming and the empowerment of rural women, stating that the goal is to make “every sister a millionaire Didi.”
