Bhopal/Chhindwara: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on August 7 said the state government will now focus on recruitment after resolving the long-pending issue of promotions for government employees.

Yadav made the announcement while addressing a felicitation ceremony at the FDDI Auditorium in Chhindwara, where officers and employees from several departments felicitated him over the promotion decision. He also handed appointment letters to newly appointed teachers from the district. As many as 1,281 officers and employees in Chhindwara have received the benefit of promotion.

CM Says Long-Pending Promotion Issue Resolved

Yadav said promotions for government employees had remained pending for several years due to various hurdles. He said the government was determined to ensure that employees received their rightful benefits.

“Whatever happens, we will ensure that they get their rightful due,” the Chief Minister said.

He added that after the government decided to move ahead despite the obstacles, work that had remained pending for years was completed within a few days.

Yadav also said that during discussions with departments, he found that some officials had even forgotten how the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) process was conducted because promotions had remained stalled for so long.

The Chief Minister urged officers and employees to remain positive and not allow stagnation to affect their morale.

“Seeing your smiling faces today gives us happiness,” Yadav said.

He said doing the same work continuously can lead to frustration and a feeling of stagnation. He also assured employees whose promotions are still pending that the government would address their concerns.

2.5 Lakh More Recruitments Planned

With promotions being addressed, Yadav said the government would now focus on recruitment across departments.

He highlighted recruitment already undertaken as well as the government’s future plans:

  • 18,000 police personnel to be recruited over the next two years, including around 1,000 drivers.
  • Around 7,000 professors have already been recruited.
  • More than 10,000 school education posts have been filled.
  • Around 1 lakh recruitments have been completed in the last two-and-a-half years.
  • The government plans to undertake another 2.5 lakh recruitments.

Jan Vishwas Abhiyan Begins From Chhindwara

The Chief Minister also announced the launch of the Chief Minister Jan Vishwas Abhiyan from Chhindwara.

Under the initiative, officials will spend every Friday in the field instead of remaining in their offices. They will interact with citizens, hear their grievances and work towards their speedy resolution.

Yadav said the initiative aims to bring officials and public representatives closer to people and ensure that administrative problems are addressed promptly.

“Every Friday, no officer will sit in the office. All officials and public representatives will remain in the field among the people,” he said.

The Chief Minister said he would also actively participate in the campaign along with elected representatives and officials.

Government Highlights Welfare and Development Agenda

Yadav also spoke about the broader development and welfare agenda of the state and Centre, saying government officials and employees are playing an important role in implementing welfare schemes for the poor, youth, women and farmers.

He said India has gained a distinct position globally under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and continues to make progress across sectors.
