Madhya Pradesh: 18 IAS & Several SAS Officers Transferred in Major Reshuffle; Srushti Deshmukh Appointed Additional Collector, Khandwa

Bhopal, MP: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Government of Madhya Pradesh has transferred and posted 18 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and multiple State Administrative Service (SAS) officers.

The decision, announced through a notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on September 27, aims to strengthen district-level governance, streamline leadership, and enhance delivery mechanisms across departments.

IAS Officers: Key Transfers and Postings

The reshuffle involves a number of 2016 to 2023 batch IAS officers, many of whom have been appointed CEOs of District Panchayats and Additional Collectors.

Sanjana Jain (2016 batch): From CEO, Zila Panchayat Satna to Additional Collector, Maihar.

Jagdish Kumar Gome (2016 batch): From Culture & Tourism Departments to CEO, Zila Panchayat Singrauli.

Har Simranpreet Kaur (2018 batch): From Additional Mission Director, Bhopal to CEO, Zila Panchayat Katni.

Anjali Joseph Jonathan (2018 batch): From Deputy Secretary, Technical Education to CEO, Zila Panchayat Harda.

Sujan Singh Rawat (2018 batch): Transferred from Narmadapuram to CEO, Zila Panchayat Gwalior.

Srushti Deshmukh Gowda (2019 batch): Awaiting posting, now Additional Collector, Khandwa.

Nidhi Singh (2019 batch): From Joint Commissioner, Gwalior to Additional Labour Commissioner, Indore.

Himanshu Jain (2020 batch): Transferred from Shivpuri to CEO, Zila Panchayat Narmadapuram.

Sarjana Yadav (2020 batch): From Additional Collector, Jabalpur to CEO, Zila Panchayat Sehore.

Vaishali Jain (2021 batch): From SDM Rajgarh to CEO, Zila Panchayat and Addl. Collector, Ratlam.

Divyanshu Chaudhary (2021 batch): From SDM Mandla to CEO, Zila Panchayat and Addl. Collector, Dindori.

Srijan Verma (2021 batch): From SDM Singrauli to CEO, Zila Panchayat and Addl. Collector, Burhanpur.

Archana Kumari (2021 batch): From SDM Shujalpur to CEO, Zila Panchayat and Addl. Collector, Anuppur.

Saumya Anand (2021 batch): From Assistant Collector, Shahdol to CEO, Zila Panchayat and Addl. Collector, Sheopur.

Aakip Khan (2023 batch): From Assistant Collector, Mandla to SDM, Pipariya, Narmadapuram.

Pankaj Verma (2023 batch): From Assistant Collector, Seoni to SDM, Punasa, Khandwa.

Sapna Anurag Jain, IAS: Appointed as Additional Director, Narmada Valley Development Authority (NVDA), Indore.

In a separate notification, the GAD also transferred several SAS officers, bringing in a fresh round of changes aimed at enhancing departmental governance and improving service delivery at the grassroots.

  • Vijay Raj (2011 batch): From CEO, Zila Panchayat Shivpuri to Additional Commissioner, Gwalior Municipal Corporation.
  • Shailendra Singh (2011 batch): From CEO, Zila Panchayat Satna to Additional Collector, Maihar.
  • Anupama Chauhan (2006 batch): From CEO, Zila Panchayat Shajapur to Deputy Secretary, GAD.
  • Namah Shivay Arjaria (2012 batch): From CEO, Zila Panchayat Chhatarpur to State Protocol Officer, Bhopal.
  • Shashwat Singh Meena (2012 batch): From CEO, Zila Panchayat Mandla to Deputy Secretary, Industrial Policy & Investment Promotion.
  • Anjali Shah (2012 batch): From CEO, Zila Panchayat Seoni to Additional Collector, Narsinghpur.

Objective: Efficient Administration & Decentralised Governance

The wide-ranging reshuffle reflects the government’s intention to strengthen field-level governance and bring young, dynamic officers into positions of responsibility. By rotating officers across districts and departments, the administration aims to leverage experience, decentralise decision-making, and build administrative capacity in critical sectors like panchayat development, tourism, education, and industrial policy.

All appointments take immediate effect and will remain valid until further government orders.
