MP Turns Focus to Smarter, Safer and Greener Passenger Transport Through India Summit

Madhya Pradesh will host a two-day Passenger Transport Vision Summit in Indore on September 11-12, focusing on safer, smarter and greener public transport.

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government will organise the Passenger Transport Vision Summit 2026 in Indore on September 11 and 12, bringing private bus operators, transport experts, policymakers and industry representatives together to discuss the future of passenger mobility in the state.

The two-day summit will be held at the Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore, and will focus on ways to make passenger transport more convenient, technology-driven, safe and environmentally friendly.

The event is centred on the Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Seva and is intended to provide a platform for stakeholders from the transport sector to share their experience and suggestions.

Key Areas of Discussion

According to the Madhya Pradesh government, discussions at the summit will cover:

  • Technology-based passenger transport services
  • Passenger safety and convenience
  • Environment-friendly transport systems
  • Innovation in the passenger transport sector
  • Private-sector participation
  • Investment opportunities in transport
  • Modernisation of public transport
  • Potential employment opportunities linked to the sector

Private Bus Operators, Experts to Participate

The summit will bring together private bus operators along with transport specialists, policymakers and representatives of the industry.

The government said stakeholders will discuss ways to improve the existing passenger transport system and make it more modern and effective.

The role of new technology and private-sector participation in strengthening public transport will also be examined during the discussions.

Employment Opportunities Also on Agenda

The summit will also consider the potential for new employment opportunities arising from innovation and investment in passenger transport.

The government said the discussions would look at how a more efficient public transport system, combined with modern technology and private participation, could contribute to the sector.

Registration Open Till September 10

Those interested in attending the summit and sharing their suggestions can register online until 12 noon on September 10, 2026.

The government has invited participation from stakeholders interested in the future of passenger transportation in Madhya Pradesh.

The summit will take place on September 11-12 at Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore.
