New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways has approved the deputation of Mr. Himanshu Maheshwari, IRSEE, to the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) as Deputy Chief Project Manager (Electrical) in Mumbai for a period of five years. Mr. Maheshwari is currently serving as Director (Electrical) at CAMTECH, RDSO, Lucknow.
Deputation Details and Terms
According to an official order issued from Rail Bhavan on January 20, 2026, Mr. Maheshwari will join NHSRCL on usual deputation terms, which include pay from his parent cadre along with deputation allowance. The posting will last for five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The appointment is subject to government approval for exemption from the rule of immediate absorption at NHSRCL.
The Railway Board has instructed that Mr. Maheshwari be relieved from his current assignment at CAMTECH to enable a smooth transition to his new role. The date of relief will be communicated officially to ensure a seamless deputation process.

Tenure and Extension Guidelines
In line with the Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T) guidelines dated March 22, 2023, Mr. Maheshwari will be automatically relieved at the end of the deputation period unless a formal extension is approved before its expiry. Copies of the order have been circulated to senior officials of the Railway Board and other concerned departments for information and necessary action.
