- First Female DG of Rajasthan, Ms. Nina Singh
A 1989 batch officer of Rajasthan Ms. Nina Singh has been promoted to DG rank. With this, she has become first female officer in state to hold this position. The officer was earlier serving as the ADG (Training). She will now serve as DG ( Civil Rights & Anti-Human Trafficking).
The officer hailing from Bihar has been actively involved in Police reforms and also co-authored research papers with Noble prize winners in Economics, Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo.
She has also served as the Joint-Director of CBI in New Delhi and played key role in investigation of PNB scam & Nirav Modi case. Ms. Singh has also been part of Rajasthan State Commission for Women. For her contribution in Policing, she was awarded with Ati Utkrisht Seva Medal (AUSM) by the Ministry of Home Affairs in last October and became the first ADG rank officer to be honoured with this.
