NLC India Donates Life Support Ambulance in Odisha Under CSR Initiative to Boost Emergency Healthcare

NLC India Limited strengthens rural healthcare support in Sambalpur as Dharmendra Pradhan flags off fully equipped ambulance to improve emergency medical response.

New Delhi: NLC India Limited has strengthened its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives by donating a fully equipped Life Support Ambulance to the Sambalpur District Administration in Odisha. The initiative, carried out through its Talabira II & III Open Cast Project, aims to improve emergency medical response and enhance healthcare access for local communities.

The ambulance was officially flagged off on May 9, 2026, by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan during a ceremony held in Sambalpur.

Strengthening Emergency Healthcare in Odisha

The CSR initiative is designed to provide faster and more efficient emergency medical services to residents of the region.

Key Objectives of the Initiative:

  • Improve emergency healthcare response in rural and mining areas
  • Enhance accessibility to life-saving medical transport
  • Support district healthcare infrastructure
  • Strengthen public health services in Sambalpur region

The fully equipped ambulance will serve as a critical resource for handling medical emergencies in remote areas.

Dignitaries Attend Flag-Off Ceremony in Sambalpur

The event was attended by several prominent leaders and officials, including:

  • Rabi Narayan Naik
  • Jayanarayan Mishra
  • Senior officials from NLC India Limited, including Executive Director and Project Head of Talabira II & III OCP

The leaders appreciated NLC India’s continued contribution to community welfare and regional development through impactful CSR programmes.

CSR Efforts Focused on Community Development

NLC India Limited continues to focus on improving the quality of life in areas surrounding its operational projects. Its CSR initiatives include healthcare support, education, infrastructure development, and community welfare programmes. Officials emphasized that such initiatives play a key role in bridging healthcare gaps in underserved regions.

Coordination for Smooth Implementation

The CSR project was successfully coordinated by senior officials from NLC India’s HR and CSR departments along with district administration representatives. The collaboration ensured smooth execution of the programme and effective deployment of the ambulance service in the region.
