NTPC Appoints E. Satya Kumar Phani as Regional Executive Director (West-I), Strengthening Leadership and Operational Excellence

Mumbai: Mr. E. Satya Kumar Phani has taken over the additional charge of Regional Executive Director (West-I), NTPC, alongside his current roles as Executive Director (DRC) and Chief Executive Officer (UPL).

Experienced Leader at the Helm

A veteran in the power sector, Mr. Phani brings over three and a half decades of rich experience in power generation, project management, and operational excellence. An alumnus of Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (1988) and an MBA in Human Resource Management (2007) from IGNOU, New Delhi.

Mr. Phani joined NTPC on 28th February 1989 as an Executive Trainee and has since played key roles across major NTPC projects and establishments. His illustrious career includes significant contributions at Corporate Centre – EOC, Ramagundam, Lara, and as Head of Project, Vindhyachal. He also led the NTPC West-II Region and served as Head of Project, UPL, where his strategic vision and focus on performance improvement were widely recognized.
