NTPC Green Energy Commissions 68.22 MW Solar Capacity at Dahod Project in Gujarat

NTPC Green Energy Limited has expanded its renewable energy portfolio with the commercial operation of 68.22 MW of solar power capacity at its Dahod Solar PV Project in Gujarat, taking the group’s commercial generation capacity to 10,911.08 MW.

Dahod: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NTPC Green Energy) has achieved a major milestone in its renewable energy expansion with the commercial operation of 68.22 MW of solar power capacity at its Dahod Solar PV Project in Gujarat.

The capacity has been developed through NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy. The newly operational capacity forms the third part of the larger 200 MW solar power project being developed in the Dahod region of Gujarat.

The 68.22 MW capacity was declared commercially operational with effect from July 23, 2026. Its commercial readiness was subsequently certified by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) on September 17, 2026.

68.22 MW Solar Capacity Added at Dahod Project

The newly commissioned capacity is part of NTPC Green Energy’s efforts to expand its utility-scale renewable energy assets across India.

NTPC Green Energy Group Capacity Rises to 10,911.08 MW

Following the commercial operation of the new solar capacity, the NTPC Green Energy Group’s commercial generation capacity has increased from 10,842.86 MW to 10,911.08 MW.

The addition of 68.22 MW further strengthens the group’s renewable energy portfolio and expands its overall commercial generation base. The increase reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to add clean energy capacity and expand its presence in India’s renewable energy sector.

Dahod Project Strengthens Solar Power Portfolio

The Dahod Solar PV Project is part of NTPC Green Energy’s broader renewable energy development strategy. The company is expanding its solar power generation capacity across different regions as it works to build a larger portfolio of clean energy assets.

Commercial Readiness Certified by Gujarat Energy Development Agency

The newly operational capacity was formally certified by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency.

While the 68.22 MW capacity was declared commercially operational with effect from July 23, 2026, the certification confirming its commercial readiness was issued on September 17, 2026. The disclosure regarding the commercial operation of the capacity was made by the company under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Dahod Solar Project Supports Clean Energy Transition

The commissioning of the 68.22 MW capacity adds to NTPC Green Energy’s growing renewable energy assets and supports its strategy of developing additional clean power generation capacity.

The larger 200 MW Dahod Solar PV Project is an important part of the company’s solar development programme in Gujarat. With the third part now commercially operational, the project is contributing further to the expansion of renewable electricity generation.
