New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Odisha Mining Corporation Limited (OMC) showcased its excellence at the 7th Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC-2025), held in Bhubaneswar from September 13 to 14. The event, organised by the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Bhubaneswar Chapter, focused on the theme “Quality Concepts for Atma Nirbhar Viksit Bharat,” emphasizing innovation and quality towards building a self-reliant and developed India.
Wide Range of Innovative Projects
OMC fielded 22 Quality Circle teams from various mines and plants, each presenting projects across multiple domains such as production, sales, environment, safety, information technology, quality control, and healthcare. These teams demonstrated their problem-solving capabilities, innovative approaches, and collaborative efforts through detailed case study presentations, model displays, and knowledge assessments.
Awards and Recognition
OMC earned a remarkable haul of 22 awards, including 19 Gold and 3 Silver medals. The Gold-winning teams will now advance to compete at the prestigious National Convention on Quality Concepts (NCQC-2025), where they will represent OMC and further demonstrate their commitment to quality excellence on a national stage.
Track Record of Excellence
This achievement continues OMC’s consistent record of outstanding performance at QCFI platforms. In previous editions, OMC teams have secured multiple Gold and Silver awards at CCQC events and have also been honoured with Par Excellence and Excellence awards at the national level NCQC. Furthermore, OMC’s international acclaim is highlighted by winning two Gold awards at the 2023 International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC) held in Beijing, China.
