CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Reviews Public Grievances in Nainital, Orders Swift Action on Water, Roads and Power Issues 

Chief Minister directs officials to ensure time-bound resolution of public complaints, improve infrastructure, and guarantee uninterrupted basic services in Uttarakhand.

Dehradun/Nainital: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, during his visit to Nainital district, met local residents and public representatives at the Circuit House in Haldwani-Kathgodam and listened to their grievances. The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure the prompt and effective resolution of public issues on the spot.

Government Focus on Timely Redressal of Public Issues

CM Dhami emphasized that resolving public grievances in a time-bound and satisfactory manner remains the top priority of the state government. He instructed officials to work with sensitivity and accountability to ensure that citizens receive quick relief.

He also reiterated that any negligence in public service delivery will lead to fixed responsibility and action against the concerned officials.

Key Public Issues Raised During the Meeting

During the interaction, several civic and infrastructure-related issues were highlighted, including:

  • Drinking water supply disruptions
  • Poor condition of rural roads
  • Electricity supply concerns
  • Irrigation-related problems

Officials were urged to take immediate corrective measures to address these challenges affecting local communities.

Directions on Water Supply and Infrastructure Maintenance

Taking note of rising concerns during the summer season, the Chief Minister directed the Drinking Water Department to arrange water tankers wherever required and ensure quick repair of damaged tube wells and hand pumps.

He also instructed the Public Works Department (PWD) to prioritize repairing damaged roads and make them pothole-free at the earliest.

Instructions for Uninterrupted Power Supply

CM Dhami directed the electricity department to ensure uninterrupted power supply as per the scheduled roster. He stressed that citizens should not face inconvenience due to power cuts or supply irregularities, especially during peak demand periods.

Dignitaries Present at the Event

The meeting was attended by several senior officials and public representatives, including Cabinet Minister Ram Singh Kaira, MLA Sarita Arya, district officials, senior police officers, and other departmental representatives. Local citizens also actively participated in the grievance discussion.

Strong Message on Accountability and Public Service

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami made it clear that public welfare projects and grievance redressal mechanisms must be handled with urgency and seriousness. He assured that the government remains committed to improving basic infrastructure and ensuring better public services across Uttarakhand.
