New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Limited, a Navratna public sector undertaking under the Government of India, has received a major work order from the Cotton Corporation of India Limited (CCI) for the renewal of cloud data centre hosting services.
The order, valued at ₹385.93 crore excluding taxes, covers hosting infrastructure and software support for several applications used by CCI. The contract is scheduled to be completed by October 14, 2032.
RailTel Secures Cloud Data Centre Hosting Order
According to the exchange filing, the work order involves the renewal of cloud data centre hosting for hardware and software supporting CCI’s key digital applications.
The applications covered under the order include:
- Oracle EBS
- e-Office
- BITS
- Cotbiz
- Kapas Kisan
The order has a total value of ₹3,859,270,450, equivalent to approximately ₹385.93 crore, excluding taxes.

Cotton Corporation of India Limited (CCI) is a Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
The organisation is involved in various activities related to cotton procurement, trade and exports, making reliable digital infrastructure important for its operations.
The RailTel order will support the hosting infrastructure of applications used by CCI for its business and administrative functions.
RailTel Q1 FY27 Revenue Rises Over 20%
RailTel also reported growth in revenue from operations during the first quarter of FY27.
According to the company’s financial performance:
- Q1 FY27 revenue from operations: ₹893.27 crore
- Q1 FY26 revenue from operations: ₹743.83 crore
- Revenue growth: 20.09%
- Q1 FY27 standalone net profit: ₹65.78 crore
- Q1 FY26 standalone net profit: ₹66.10 crore
Standalone net profit declined marginally by 0.48% year-on-year, while revenue recorded strong growth during the quarter.
RailTel Share Price
RailTel shares closed at ₹279.00 on the BSE, down 0.68%, according to the information provided.
The stock had also risen 0.59% to ₹280.65 during the trading session.
