New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. has bagged a new government contract worth ₹41.32 crore from the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board for providing security-related ancillary services during recruitment examinations, according to a regulatory filing submitted to stock exchanges on June 5, 2026.

The order highlights RailTel’s continued expansion in government-backed digital and operational infrastructure services, particularly in the domain of examination management and security support.

Order Details and Scope of Work

As per the official disclosure, the contract value stands at ₹41,32,36,473 (excluding applicable taxes). The assignment involves providing security-related ancillary services during recruitment examinations conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.

The work order was officially received on June 5, 2026, at 2:37 PM, and will remain valid until June 5, 2028, marking a long-term execution timeline of approximately two years.

Compliance and Regulatory Disclosure

RailTel confirmed that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not involve any related party transactions. The company further clarified that:

  • Neither the promoter nor promoter group has any interest in the awarding entity
  • No group company or related party is connected to the contract
  • The order falls under regulatory disclosure requirements as per SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015, Regulation 30 read with Schedule III Part A (B)

This ensures full compliance with stock exchange reporting norms for material government contracts.

The company stated that the contract strengthens its footprint in the government sector, particularly in technology-enabled examination and security services. Such projects are considered strategically important as they add visibility to future revenue streams and reinforce RailTel’s role in public sector digital and connectivity solutions.
